A teen who told police he’d been in captivity for the past seven years is claiming to be Timmothy Pitzen, a boy who went missing in 2011. Timmothy, then 6, and his mother, 43-year-old Amy Fry-Pitzen, went on a road trip from their home in Aurora, Illinois, on May 11, 2011. Timmothy was last seen at a water park in Wisconsin the next day.  The FBI and local authorities are working to determine whether the teen actually is Timmothy.

  1. I feel so bad for Timothy Pitzen's family. Hopefully the imposter knows what happened to the real Timothy Pitzen and can bring justice and closure to the case. That's the only good thing I could see coming out of this story.

  2. i just googled it and 35 mins ago CNN said that it was a 23 old man pretending to be him. it wasn’t him and he now has criminal charges. i really hope they will find timmothy.. 🙁

  3. "Many questions remain unanswered in the case of a man who police said impersonated a Chicago-area child who disappeared almost eight years ago.

But perhaps the most pressing question was answered Thursday: Timmothy wasn't found, the FBI office in Louisville announced after nearly 36 hours of anticipation.

The person pretending to be Timmothy, according to police officials, is actually a 23-year-old man: Brian Michael Rini of Medina, Ohio. Police responded to Columbia Street in Newport Wednesday morning on a report of a troubled person claiming to have escaped a years-long imprisonment. Brian however has a history of false report charges. "
