Man City transfer update as Rodri is close to signing for Man City from Atletico Madrid, I give all the latest to this deal. Elsewhere, Angelino is set to sign for Man City… That could even be today. Elsewhere, Man Utd move ahead of Man City in the pursuit of Leicester City centre back Harry Maguire. In response, Nathan Ake of Bournemouth is linked, so is Juventus centre back Leonardo Bonucci. In the outs, Lorenze Gonzalez wants a loan move for the upcoming season, with interest from the Championship and Spain. Enjoy the video! 🙂

  1. Nathan Ake as a left CB will play at left back in bigger matches like Liverpool, so at the back will: Ake, Laporte, Stones and Walker / Cancelo at right back. I think he will be a good signing unlike paying a record transfer fee for Maguire. Left back is our biggest problem. We all know that

  2. @Jsgc I am against the idea of Ake. Yes he is reasonably priced and very talented. Being left footed may offset balance as you would like a right and left footed centre back partnership with Laporte and I do not fully trust Stones and Otamendi. I feel that Maguire is the man and I am glad we are willing to match United because we need a centre back as much as United. 90 million is absurd but 80 mil if it is 70 upfront and 10 mil add ons is deal I can live with. It is similar situation to Liverpool with Van Djik needs are must and every once in a while you have to pay premium fees. If we were willing to pay 60 million for Mahrez who was not player we needed then 70 -75 for a player who is much needed is not the worst idea. I know you have stated previously 'if we pay it once we have to pay again and again' however I feel signings in the future we can stand our ground with because generally our squad is very balanced so we would not necessarily have to give into the demands of clubs we may deal with in the future. Love to hear your thoughts.
