The Andre Drummond trade solidifies the organization’s belief in Christian Wood, the 24-year-old center picked up by the Pistons off the waiver wire. In his 51 games, Wood has averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game.

The Pistons understand that paying a center too much money could severely cripple their future and their ability to sign and re-sign premier guards. Christian Wood looks to be affordable, and check every box for a Pistons team desperate for someone to pickup the production in Drummond’s absence.
